With Vanderbilt Basketball just around the corner many are counting Vanderbilt as a not so great team. The reason a few people think this is because of there 0-18 SEC record last year. I’m going to tell you why this team is going to have a better year and why in the near future this team WILL be elite.
The first thing I want to let you all know is that Vanderbilt has a new coach and it’s not just any coach, It’s JERRY STACKHOUSE. With him having a great source of NBA and collegiate knowledge this brings room for him to revive this basketball program.
The next thing and probably the most important thing you need to know is that Vanderbilt basketball’s roster has more potential than Vanderbilt has seen in a long while. Vanderbilt has former 4 star recruit Aaron Nesmith, Matthew Moyer who was a transfer from Syracuse two years ago, and Saben Lee who averaged 12.7 points last season and led the team in assists and steals.
The third and final thing we also need to mention is Vanderbilt basketball has a very strong freshman roster. Players include Jordan Wright, Oton Jankovic, Scotty Pippen Jr (son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen) and last but not least Dylan Disu. All of these players bring many great attributes to Vanderbilt.
