The Kansas City Royals have fallen out of prominence.. After a world series win in 2015, the Royals have progressively gotten worse, and are now one of the worst teams in the MLB. David Glass recently shook things up when he sold the team. But Glass did not just sell, he sold big. Glass sold the Royals to a group of investors, led by KC-based entrepreneur John Sherman for one billion dollars. That’s ten figures guys. Sherman owned about 30% of the Indians, which he was forced to divest. The real question, however, is this; Are the Royals worth $1B? Many may say no, but a team already in the process of rebuilding is sure to increase in value. The deal is expected to be finalized at the Nov. 21 owners’ meeting. Glass, now 83, originally bought the Kansas City team for $96 million.
