Memphis Express have a new leader of the offense.

Sunday during the Express game, Coach Mike Singletary pulled Christian Hackenberg after leading the team to and 0-2 start and down 9-0 in the second half. He was 8-14 with 88 yards for the game.

His replacement was Zack Mettenberger. He played for LSU from 2011-2013. He finished his collegiate career with 5,783 yards passing and 35 touchdowns. He got drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 6th round of the 2014 Draft. He went on to be with the Chargers and Steelers.

Mettenberger nearly led the express to the win but fell short 21-17 losing to the Orlando Apollos. He finished 9-12 with 120 yards passing and 2 touchdowns.

Mettenberger will lead the Express Saturday against the San Diego Fleet.
