Alex Smith Expected to Miss 2019 Season

The Washington Redskins are expected to be with their quarterback, Alex Smith for the entirety of the 2019 season.

Alex Smith suffered a leg compound fracture in week 11 against the Houston Texans. The injury put his career in question and some even wondered if he’d be able to walk again.

With Colt McCoy as the Redskins’ backup, they do have a quarterback going into next season. The Redskins’ 2018 season took a turn for the worse when Colt McCoy also got injured. That led to Mark Sanchez being… well, Mark Sanchez.

However, it might be time to start thinking about the future. The Redskins sit at 15th in the upcoming NFL Draft. They could try to snag a quarterback to groom for the future. We’ll have to wait and see what the organization decides to do.

For now, we’ll just hope that Alex Smith continues a healthy recovery.
