The Bills’ young signal caller, Josh Allen, is optimistic about the Bills moving forward.
“I think, if you look at this past year, we weren’t all that far off from being there this year,” Allen said, “We’re looking to build something special.” Via the Buffalo News.
While the numbers may not wow the analysts, the rookie quarterback had a decent first season having only played 12 games. Allen had 2,074 yards through the air with 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. However, he added an impressive 631 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground. He brings an very mobile and athletic attribute to the Bills offense.
Clearly the Bills still have some areas to improve on, but overall they did play a lot of teams tough down the stretch. Allen has a big time arm and showed he can be accurate. If he works this offseason to keep improving, he could take that next step to being the quarterback he wants to be.
The Bills are a young feisty team. It could take a few more seasons to get there, but they’re on the right track.
There’s plenty to be excited about in Buffalo.
