Canes Stay Hot in Huge Win Against the Predators

The Carolina Hurricanes get their 7th win in the last 8 games and close in on both wild card spots, only 3 points behind the Islanders for the second spot. The Hurricanes took an early lead thanks to a breakaway score from Sebastian Aho 15 and a half minutes into the first period. The goals kept coming for Carolina the next one coming from Saku Mäenalanen. The Preds closed in on Carolina early in the second making it 2-1. Sebastian Aho scored the second of his three goals off an assist from Michael Ferland. The latter coming off an open net shot late in the game. The Centers hat trick played a key role in the Canes 6-3 win over the Predators. The Hurricanes will go to Madison Square Garden to face the Rangers in an important divisional game at 7:00.
