Kansas City Chiefs Vs. Indianapolis Colts Recap:
Everyone in Kansas City is breathing a huge sigh of relief. The reason why? Well earlier this afternoon, the Chiefs defeated the Indianapolis Colts in the first AFC Divisional round matchup of the weekend, 31-13.
The Chiefs have been known not to be able to come up big in the post season, but today, they took a step towards to silencing those critics. The Colts, who beat the Houston Texans in the Wildcard round last weekend, were getting a lot of hype to maybe send heartbreak to KC this week.
However, MVP candidate, Patrick Mahomes, was able to lead the Chiefs to a dominate win. Mahomes didn’t even have to throw a touchdown pass. Instead it was a game dominated by the Chiefs’ ground game with Damien Williams, Darrel Williams, Tyreek Hill, and Patrick Mahomes all finding the endzone. Meanwhile, tight end, Travis Kelce, had another big day, catching seven balls for 108 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, Andrew Luck was under pressure all day. He was sacked three times today and one of them led to a fumble, recovered by the defense. The Colts just didn’t have any answers all game for the Chiefs.
Now, we’ll wait for the outcome of the Chargers and Patriots to see who the Chiefs will host next week in the AFC Championship game.
